The team had a strong showing a few weeks ago in the Ivy League tournament, losing close games to Harvard and Dartmouth and beating Yale for the first time in our history. Brown had a solid semi-final loss against a very good Cornell team, who went on to repeat as tournament champions.
This upcoming weekend, we have two home games. First is our home opener and inaugural game versus our rival from across College Hill, RISD. We expect a lot of fans from both schools and a great atmosphere! Next on Saturday we host Babson, who will be looking to avenge their loss to us earlier in the season.
After that, we will be off for finals and winter break, returning in late January.

A new season starts off with a win
The 2012-2013 season started Saturday with a 79-77 win at Babson College. The Bears played very well, with key offensive and defensive contributions from Q Kim, Eric Tung and newcomer Sam Bresnick. The game was close the whole way, with no team ever leading by more than 6 points. Up 1 at halftime, Brown came out strong in the second half, but missed crucial free throws down the stretch stopping them from pulling away. In the end, Brown's defense prevailed, leading to the 2 point victory.

Win vs. Babson
The Bears had a great win against Babson on Saturday, despite some bumps in the road that pushed tip-off back to 6:15. We had our fullest roster of the season, welcoming some newcomers as well as the veterans. The Bears came out hot, hitting 5 three-pointers in the first 5 minutes, and did not cool down through the first half. A strong Babson team upped the physicality in the second half and beat the Bears down low, but good free throw shooting down the stretch helped Brown pull out the W by 3, 81-78.

Fall 2011
The Brown club basketball team is back in action this fall.
We play our first games November 5-6 at Harvard in the Ivy League tournament. This is the first time all 6 Ivy League teams will be together for an event.
We will then travel to Northeastern on November 12 for a 1 PM tip-off.
More games are currently being scheduled for late November and early December.
The team is looking really strong, and we will definitely compete with the best club teams in the nation this year.
